A Day at the Races!

Hi Everyone!

The VeloViets hit the racing scene again today at the Piru Time Trial. Representing the Viets were Kristy, Haldane, Roxy, Martin, and David.

The results did not really matter as it was a fun and a learning experience for most of the Veloviets, but these race "rookies" did extremely well! Under the tutelage of Coach Haldane and Racer Kristy, the rookies consisting of Martin placed 3rd, David 2nd, and Roxy captured first in their categories. Congrats team!

The VeloViet Piru Race Team dedicated their wins to teammate Kazu, who was involved in a hit and run yesterday morning. Kazu was out training and got sideswiped by a car. The car took off leaving Kazu unconscious in the middle of the road. A good samaritan stop and divert traffic around the Kazu. Luckily Kazu woke up, does not remember the incident, with injuries of a broken cheekbone and cuts to his face.  He vow to return to cycling soon. Have a speedy recovery Kazu!
