New Route - Same Starting Location

VV,

We are going to start a new route when leaving Mile Square Park.

Today, we had a group of 30+ riders. Great turn out. However, a group this size is very difficult to ride on Santa Ana River Bed (SARB.)

During our ride this morning, we had a near collision. A couple of VeloViet riders over run into on coming traffic and didn't get out of the way. Remember, once to put on VeloViet jersey, you represent all of us. One small mistake will ruin entire reputation for VeloViet.

As a result, we will start a new route leaving the park.

ROLLING OUT OF THE PARK, WE WILL TAKE HEIL STREET. STAY ON HEIL UNTIL BUSHARD. TURN LEFT ON BUSHARD STREET. STAY ON BUSHARD UNTIL INTERSECT WITH BROOKHURST. MAKE A RIGHT TURN ON BROOKHURST TO GET TO PCH. We will take our restroom break as usual and regroup.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Be Safe, Ride Safe, and Ride On,
T2.

  1. Hello Captain Thomas and OC VV,

I am glad you brought this up and put in writing! I would like to share this to our team in MN too. YEP! ONCE WE GOT VV KITS on our back ... we need to ride as a TEAM.

You are right captain! Bigger crowd is more fun, but also more headaces and hard to manage when we have too many guests! I learned that and when ever we got new guests we just need to be EXTRA careful!

    Thanks for sharing this!

-------- here are some pictures from our Sat ride. It is winter here already but some how we got lucky with a 60 degree day of full sun shine, so 80% of the the team shown up! ENJOY! ..........
