Rapha Women's 100K Ride

The VeloViet Club supported the VeloViet Ladies and Women's Cycling today in the Rapha Women's 100K Ride.  The route is actually 126K and, due to the extreme heat, turns into one of the most brutal course I rode on.  We started at 8 AM and did not end the ride until 5 PM.  Along the way... we did some wine tasting too. Check out the photos...

After a brief speech, we were introduce to our road escorts.  Our ride Captain was a strong racer from Ritte Cycling.  She and the other escorts helped push a good pace on PCH, and they did a great job escorting all the riders through the hills of Malibu.  Thank you!

At the midway stop, the riders got to see some muscle cars.  The engines were sparkling shiny and I loved the black mustang shown in the photo below!

What's a bike ride without some wine!  Yup we did wine tasting and got treated with Cabs, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and more!

Although brutal because of the heat, we had a great time on the ride.  Thanks Bike Effect for hosting this Rapha Women's 100K Ride.

Out,
Phong
