2011 VeloViet Team Photoshoot

Decked out like Tour de France racers, the VeloViets sported the team's 2012 uniforms in today's photoshoot at MSP. Even though the forecast showed rain, everyone was super excited wearing the VeloViet's new uniform design. Thanks Dashaan!

The new kit is from Castelli which had a euro-style racer cut. The kit hugged to one's body and you just can't help but feel fast. Check out the final photos.

Here is a brief recap and some behind the scene photos...

Master Photographer Cuong was there conducting the photoshoot. Cuong brought help in the form of his older brother Hung. Cuong had previously scoped out MSP and he led us to this neat archway which I had never noticed before. Here are some photos of the shoot.

The rain had came down hard near the end of the photoshoot. What do cyclists do when they can't ride? They eat of course!

The team drove to KyAnh's restaurant Quan Hop. If you have not try this reaturant yet, you have to! The food is delicious!

Although we did not ride, it was a Great VeloViet Day! Special thanks to Cuong and his brother Anh Hung on capturing the moment for us at the team photoshoot. Please check out Cuong's website for more amazing photos of his work at www.cpphotography.net.

And also special thanks to KyAnh, BaoAnh, and DuyAnh for taking extra care of us at the luncheoun. Please go and sample some of their food at the Quan Hop restaurant on Brookhurst.

Out,
Phong

  2. "Cyclists who eat together, stay together!" Thank you for adding the lunch to the schedule as I love eating Vietnamese food with the crew. I don't have too stress out about which food to order when I have Nancy, Co, Billy Dang, Sang, and Uyen helping me. I will come down again and ride!

  3. The man of the moment is Phong, and we're all indebted to his deft ordering/distribution of spiffy VV's kits without a glitch. The mind numbing logistics must have required tremendous personal sacrifices in order to pull-off the Herculean task so effortlessly. You are simply the best wizard in all of Hogwart, Phong. Thank you.

  5. There's no better combination than the love to ride and eat. What a wonderful group to share this passion with!

All the fun we're enjoying are made possible by the extraordinary efforts in the background by the organizers and supporters. Thanks Phong for your tireless effort in getting the new kits for our club. They look and feel fantastic. Thanks Cuong for the outstanding photoshoot. Thanks KyAnh, BaoAnh and DuyAnh for a wonderful lunch.

The great company and delicious food more than made up for not being able to ride. It was a nice Sunday for bonding. Looking forward to many more social gatherings with everyone.

  6. Great looking team there OCVV!

Whenever U got all maching, all smiling, all took part off any event with excitement even with eating only .. you feel like a good team.

Thanks D for a great job on the design and especially the final detail touchs with the Daytona race car look and where to place all the logos on our new VV kit.

Thanks to the leadership team for their time put in hours/days to tryout and select vendors ... We had tried 4-5 difference vendors to final with Castelli.

Phong put in so much time contacting leaders, manufacturs, we event paid and had to wait for refund from one vendor before ordering with Castelli. At the end it all worth the time we had waiting for. BEST of all WE ALL GOT OUR 2012 KIT BEFORE CHRISTMAS! Thanks Phong & everyone for your great effort.

OCVV group picture look massive and aweseome!
The WHITE team make sure U stay thin to look good in your kit. If U read on Castelli ... they said the way they design their kit will show if U got spare tire or even a 3rd nipple. hehehe!

BLACK team is like a Ninja on bike ... You look so fast that other cyclists on the road just have to get out of your way so NO MORE traffic for U now. LOL!

Take care & have fun @ your year end party!
We VeloViet HPTeam in Minnesota celebrated our last week and now await for snow to come down in few days.
